Chanel N°22 was launched in 1922, a year after the famous Chanel N°5. The perfect, classical, silky fragrance of this perfume is composed of gorgeous jasmine, orange blossom, fresh green note of lilac and sweet rose.
One may love Chanel No. 5 for its powdery florals and fresh soap smell, while another is wrinkling their nose at its harsh chemical-and-musk tang. With this perfume, you pay your money, you take your chances—but we recommend getting a sample before you buy. Overall, I think that Chanel No 5 is iconic but like many things from the past, has had it’s day. I’d recommend Chanel look to the likes of Dior’s Miss Dior and Givenchy’s L’interdit, who have kept the traditional fragrance name but totally reformulated the fragrance to appeal to the modern nose.
