I had the chance to play with the new 2021 36mm Explorer release yesterday. and it was underwhelming. As a smaller wrist guy and a 14270 owner, I welcomed the 36mm change to the Explorer. The 36mm Explorer is designed to wear on the small side, so it does not get in the way of whatever you are doing, be it mountain climbing or desk surfing. You are supposed to see both watch face and bracelet when you look at the dial. Here is is on my 6.75” wrist. I am considering to acquire a Rolex Explorer 1, but after watching tons of reviews on the 214270 (39mm) version and the new 124270 with 36mm I am more confused than ever. I have a 6.5 inch wrist and would love to see some pictures of the watch on the wrist of someone with actually the same exact wrist size.
