I recently bought a brand new Rolex Explorer from my local AD that has this same “bent” look. There is no way I could have damaged it as I have so far babied this watch! .The pin on the flip clasp may be bent or the hook on the underneath side of the clasp body may be bent or broken. I would get it checked out by a local watchmaker to be sure nothing is goi. There are two “scratches” or rub marks in your pic. The one that lines up with the hole is just the normal rub mark from the “bump” on the inside of the Flip Lock that engages . Not sure what’s happened but the clasp isn’t ‘clicking in the right way’ when closing. It also doesn’t sit flush when closed. I know the answer is to take to RSC, but wanted to see if someone’s had the same problem/issue? How to fix this? If the clasp is replaced, will this still be considered a new watch? Will it affect its value and how much would a fix cost? Does the piece have to be replaced or . Sometimes bending the clasp itself helps. the two curved plates nestle, it one gets bent it may not be obvious but they won't engage properly. I.e. looking at the picture posted if the left side gets bent (curved in or out) it won't stay closed with the right side / vice-versa.
From the Rolex manual: “Should the clasp not lock tightly enough, simply reshape the blade which fits inside & against the clasp cover. To achieve this, bend the blade slightly to fit the curve of your wrist. Never adjust the second blade, which is directly attached to the bracelet.” .
